Our Tearooms

The Tea Rooms opened in 1950 as a family run business, Jill Savage is the latest member of the family to run the establishment for over 30 years, working hard to attract new customers & has developed a successful Award winning Tea Room.

Jill's husband Richard and their sons runs the Organic Farm producing quality Cornish Livestock and promoting environmental schemes, such as the Countryside Stewardship in the protection of wildlife along the Cornish coastline and the valleys are Sites of Special Scientific Interest.

Featured in the Cornwall Today Magazine, The Independent, and as one of the Top Ten Tearooms in the Telegraph, as well as listing as one of the top six tea rooms in Cornwall's Food Guide magazine and Country Living Magazine listed Rectory Farm Tearooms as one of the top 25 in the country. The Rectory has also been awarded the "Taste of the West Gold" award for 2018/2019 and the Tripadvisor "Award of Excellence 2017" and we have been featured on the BBC's "Hairy Bikers Comfort Food" programme.

We use locally sourced foods wherever possible and our scones, cakes, quiches, chutneys and delicious soups are made here in our farmhouse kitchen using many old family recipes. We use Cornish clotted cream, local jam, Westcountry cheeses and proper Cornish pasties, our own beef and lamb, as available, and fruit and vegetables from local suppliers or our own kitchen garden.

We provide a menu catering for vegetarian, gluten, wheat and dairy free diets. We also offer a healthy children's menu.

Allergen advice can be obtained by asking a member of the Rectory team. Within our kitchen we may use celery, eggs, milk, lupin, cereals and gluten containing products, crustaceans, molluscs, nuts, peanuts, mustard, sulphites, soya and sesame seeds. Whilst there is minimal risk of cross contamination, it is impossible to fully guarantee the absence of these allergens in any of our food.

We carry a large range of loose leaf teas from Tregothan, Cornwall's first tea plantation and from Tugboat Tea of Truro who blend teas for the Rectory to include Smugglers Choice (our house tea), Lapsang Souchong, Special Earl Grey, Orange Blossom Oolong, White Peony, Summer Fruits and many others.

Jill and her experienced team take great pride in the service they give and are proud of the fantastic reputation of the Rectory Farm Tea Rooms.
